Martha's iPad Issue

Totally off topic but they don't have this how-to on the website, and I don't want to lose this one. It's from the Martha Stewart Living iPad issue, Boundless Beauty - bubble chandelier!

Not on the list

This isn't on the list, but it still deserves credit.  I went to sign a will with my boss Cal the other day and realized we were near Kildonan Park.  Somehow I've lived in Winnipeg my whole life and have never been to The Witch's Hut.  So we took a little detour!

The rest of the list...

So I've finished up the list (the full one is over on the right) - here's what I've added:

25. Write a fan letter
26. Read Gone With the Wind
27. Milk a cow
28. Get acupuncture
29. Make marshmallows

Let the year...continue!

11. Treat my friends' birthdays the way I would love for mine to be treated - Part 1

Catriona's birthday is next week...it kind of caught up on me and I didn't have a chance to go shopping...Amazon to the rescue!

Pannie sent her this book which he finds quite in keeping with how cats should be treated

And I sent this mug which has a little fox hanging out in the bottom.  I think it would make me quite happy to finish my cup of coffee and find a fox waiting for me at the bottom.

Here's hoping she likes it!

1. Go on a trip solo

Okay, this one was one of the biggest cop-outs because I was in the middle of doing it when I turned 29, but I still think it's rad.  When I found out my cousin was getting married in Palm Springs, California on March 30 I thought, 'hey, I should take a trip to San Francisco for my birthday and to see Catriona' and so I did.

Catriona moved down there with her husband about a year ago and had suggested I come.  And Brandi and Jim kept saying how great it is - so I really didn't have a choice!  And it was a great trip.  Some highlights:

Cute hotel room right downtown

A spin on a tramcar

Checking out the Bridge from Fisherman's Wharf

Watching them make sourdough at Boudin's

The aquarium at the California Academy of Sciences

The living roof at the California Academy of Sciences

Happy birthday to me!

The Ribbonerie

Eating pizza in Berkeley

All in all it was an awesome trip and I can't wait to go back!

The List

Okay, it's actually most of the list.

I've decided that the last year of my 20s can't be wasted.  I've taken inspiration from Sarah over at Yes and Yes and have decided to challenge myself to do 29 things while I'm 29 (hence my exceedingly clever blog name!)  I have no intention of this being a 'blog blog' (a.k.a. wanting people to read it), it's just a pretty good place to keep everything in place.

So the list isn't actually complete.  Most of this was compiled shortly before my birthday a few weeks ago and I've been pretty crazed at work since I got back from holidays (I've also done quite a bit of work on number 4) and I haven't had a chance to finish it up.

I also recognize that some of these things are cop-outs (I'm pretty sure I'm going to get called to the bar, and I've already been on a solo trip) but it's my list and I can do make of it what I will.  And now, without further ado...the list!
